The EIB loan follows a prior loan of the same amount in November 2024, which was also designated for upgrading and expanding the country’s power distribution network. This means that, in two months, CEZ Group received from the EIB a total of EUR 800 million for these purposes. The company will use the loan primarily for renewable sources of energy, enhancing the country’s energy independence and increasing the reliability of supply for businesses and households alike.
