Remember the False Claims Act complaint against Georgia Tech?
The complaint essentially alleges the defendants misrepresented their compliance with NIST 800-171!
Well, the government intervened and JUST filed their complaint: Northern District of Georgia | United States Files Suit Against the Georgia Institute of Technology and Georgia Tech Research Corporation Alleging Cybersecurity Violations | United States Department of Justice
In non-lawyerly terms, this means the United States government itself has decided to take this to court.
Julie Bracker is the whistleblower attorney for the Georgia Tech University FCA complaints.
When an FCA complaint is filed by a whistleblower, the government can accept or decline to intervene.
The government's intervention is a huge step forward in this matter.
I don't know where to find the PDF of the government's intervention online, but Julie emailed it to me directly and I posted it here on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/jacobrhill_georgia-tech-nist-800-171-fca-complaint-in-activity-7232491282101665792-yrIt
